Same here, gazo1954. My wife was trimmed when I first met her and saw her pussy. She offered to shave it for me - thinking that was what all guys liked at the time (2003). I told her that with her natural blond pubic hair color she could never have too much and rather than shave, she should grow it out. She did and has never looked back. Like your wife, she's grateful that it's a lot less hassle and zero expense not having to pay some esthetician to remove the hair.
